What We Sell

JDM Florida carries used Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) automotive parts, including engines, transmissions, engine-and-transmission assemblies, front clips, and a range of exterior and interior vehicle components. All products are used and secondhand in nature. We do not sell new parts.

The term "JDM" refers to components that were originally manufactured for and sold within Japan. Japan enforces strict periodic vehicle inspection laws—commonly known as "Shaken"—which require vehicles to meet demanding roadworthiness and emissions standards. As a result, many Japanese vehicles are retired and dismantled at significantly lower mileage than comparable vehicles in the United States. This makes genuine JDM parts a highly sought-after option for vehicle owners and mechanics looking for reliable, low-mileage replacement or performance components.

Our inventory includes:

JDM Engines — Used replacement and performance engines imported directly from Japan, covering standard naturally aspirated configurations as well as performance variants including VTEC, i-VTEC, VVTi, MIVEC, turbocharged, and supercharged units. Available for a wide range of Japanese vehicle makes and models.

Transmissions — Used manual and automatic transmissions for both replacement and performance applications. Available as standalone units or as combined engine-and-transmission assemblies, depending on stock availability and the specific vehicle application.

Front Clips and Accessories—Front clip assemblies and individual vehicle components, including exterior parts, interior parts, wheels, brakes, seats, and other related items. These products are sold as-is and are not covered under our standard engine or transmission warranty.

Each product listing on our website includes condition descriptions, available photographs of the actual unit, applicable warranty terms, and all pricing disclosures so buyers have complete information before completing a purchase.

Important notice regarding emissions compliance: JDM engines and transmissions are imported components that may not comply with the emission control regulations of all US states. States including California, New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, Maryland, Oregon, Vermont, and Washington enforce strict emission standards—California in particular enforces California Air Resources Board (CARB) standards, which apply to any replacement engine installed in a vehicle registered in that state. It is the sole responsibility of the buyer to verify whether a purchased engine is legally permitted for on-road use in their state before completing a purchase. JDM Florida does not sell CARB-certified engines and does not guarantee compliance with any state emission standard. We will not be responsible for emission testing failures, smog check failures, or any regulatory non-compliance arising from the buyer's installation or use of our products.

How We Operate: From Japan to Your Door

Every engine and transmission sold by JDM Florida goes through a defined process from sourcing to delivery. We want every customer to understand exactly what they are purchasing and how it reaches them.

Step 1 — Direct Sourcing from Japan We procure all inventory directly from Japanese vehicle dismantlers and licensed export yards in Japan. By maintaining direct import relationships, we eliminate unnecessary middlemen and maintain direct visibility into the origin and physical condition of each unit we receive. All imports comply with US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) requirements for used automotive parts.

Step 2 — Inspection at Our Orlando Warehouse All products are received at our warehouse at 2302 Mercator Drive, Suite 101, Orlando, Florida 32807. Our team inspects each engine and transmission upon arrival for physical condition and operational integrity before any unit is listed for sale or shipped to a customer.

Step 3 — Transparent Product Listings Each product listed on our website includes condition notes, photographs of the actual unit where available, warranty duration, and all applicable exclusions. Pricing is displayed in US Dollars (USD) and reflects the product only. Freight charges and applicable taxes are disclosed separately at checkout before any payment is collected.

Step 4 — Nationwide Freight Shipping We ship to all residential and commercial addresses within the United States using LTL (less-than-truckload) freight carriers. We do not ship internationally. Shipping timelines, carrier options, and freight charges are detailed in our Shipping Policy.

Step 5 — After-Sale Support, Warranty, and Claims All applicable warranty terms are stated on your sales invoice at the time of purchase. After receiving your order, our team remains available during business hours to assist with warranty claims, installation questions, and any issues that may arise. All warranty and return requests must be initiated by email at jdmflorida@gmail.com. Full terms are available in our Warranty Policy and Return Policy.

Our Warranty

JDM Florida provides a limited warranty on used engines and transmissions sold through our website. Because all products are used and secondhand, the warranty covers the internal mechanical integrity of the engine block and transmission internals only. It does not extend to external accessories, labor costs, installation charges, shipping costs, or any consequential or incidental damages. Full terms and conditions are available on our Warranty Policy page.

Warranty Coverage Periods:

Used Standard Replacement Engines — 90-day limited warranty on internal engine components from the date of sale, unless otherwise specified on your sales receipt.

Used Performance Engines — 30-day limited warranty from the date of sale. This applies to turbocharged, supercharged, VTEC, i-VTEC, VVTi, MIVEC, and equivalent high-performance engine configurations.

Used Standard Replacement Transmissions—90-day limited warranty on internal transmission components from the date of sale.

Used Performance Transmissions — 30-day limited warranty on internal components from the date of sale.

Rotary Engines—Mazda rotary engines, including the RX-7 13BT, 13BTT, 20B, and all variants, are sold with no warranty.

ECUs and Electronic Units — All electronic control units and other electronic components are sold with no warranty.

What is NOT covered under warranty: All external parts attached to engines and transmissions—including but not limited to intake and exhaust manifolds, carburetors, distributors, coil packs, starters, alternators, emission control devices, flywheels, clutches, pressure plates, water pumps, thermostats, belts, hoses, oil pans, valve covers, sensors, wiring, computers, fuel injectors, turbochargers, and drive shafts—are not covered. These external parts are included with the engine or transmission for convenience and testing purposes only. Shipping charges and labor costs are not covered under the warranty under any circumstances, with no exceptions.

How to make a warranty claim: All warranty claims must be initiated via email to jdmflorida@gmail.com with a detailed written description of the issue, photographs, and supporting documentation from a certified mechanic. Claims cannot be processed without proper documentation. Engines or transmissions that have been improperly installed, modified, raced, or subjected to neglect, will not be covered. Read the complete terms on our Warranty Policy page.

Payments and Pricing

All prices on our website are listed in US Dollars (USD) and represent the product cost only. Applicable freight charges and taxes are calculated and displayed separately at checkout before any payment is collected. We do not charge hidden fees. The price confirmed at the time of your order is the price you will be charged.

We accept secure payment methods as displayed at checkout. All payment processing is handled through industry-standard encrypted systems. JDM Florida does not store customer payment card details on our servers. Full payment is required to confirm and dispatch an order. Deposit-based holds may be available for select items — please contact us directly to discuss this option.

After your order is placed, you will receive an email order confirmation containing your order details, the warranty period applicable to your product, and an estimated shipping timeline. If you do not receive a confirmation within 24 business hours, please contact us at jdmflorida@gmail.com or call us at +1 (407) 774-8324.

Full payment terms and accepted payment methods are described in our Payment Policy.

Shipping

JDM Florida ships to all 50 US states, including residential and commercial addresses in the continental United States, Alaska, and Hawaii. We do not accept international orders and do not ship outside the United States.

Engines and transmissions are heavy freight items and are shipped via LTL (less-than-truckload) freight carriers. Estimated transit time is typically 2 to 4 business days after dispatch, depending on the delivery destination. Orders are processed and dispatched during regular business hours, Monday through Saturday. Same-day dispatch may be available for confirmed orders placed before 1:00 PM Eastern Time on business days, subject to inventory availability.

Customers receiving freight shipments at a residential address may need to select a liftgate or tailgate delivery service, which carries a separate surcharge. Please ensure the correct delivery option is selected during checkout to avoid delays or refused deliveries. Shipping charges are non-refundable once an order has been dispatched.

Important — Freight Delivery Inspection: When your shipment arrives, you must inspect the packaging for visible damage before signing the carrier's delivery receipt. If damage is present, you must note it on the delivery receipt at the time of signing and contact us at jdmflorida@gmail.com within 48 hours with photographs documenting the damage. Signing for a shipment without noting any damage waives your right to file a damage claim. Full terms are available in our Shipping Policy.

Returns and Cancellations

Customers wishing to return a product must contact JDM Florida by email at jdmflorida@gmail.com to open a return file before sending any item back to us. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted. All returned items must be in the same condition as originally received, fully assembled, and include all parts and accessories that were included in the original shipment. The returned item must match the original product photographs on file at the time of sale.

The customer is responsible for all return freight charges. Original outbound shipping charges are non-refundable. Once a returned item is received at our warehouse, it will be inspected and tested. Our receipt of a returned item does not constitute automatic approval of a refund or warranty claim—all claims are formally assessed following inspection.

Order cancellations may be requested before an order has been shipped. Once an item has been dispatched from our warehouse, a cancellation becomes a return, and the return terms above apply in full. To request a cancellation, contact us as soon as possible by phone at +1 (407) 774-8324 or by email at jdmflorida@gmail.com.

Full terms are available in our Return Policy and Cancellation Policy.

US State Regulations and Buyer Responsibility

The United States has a complex set of federal and state-level regulations governing the use, registration, and emissions compliance of replacement automotive engines and transmissions. As a buyer, it is your sole responsibility to understand and comply with the laws applicable in your state before purchasing and installing any product from JDM Florida. JDM Florida is not responsible for any regulatory non-compliance, failed inspections, registration refusals, fines, or other consequences that may result from the installation or use of our products.

California and CARB-enforced states: California enforces California Air Resources Board (CARB) emissions standards, which require that any replacement engine installed in a vehicle registered in California be CARB-certified and carry an executive order (EO) number. Several additional states—including New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, Maryland, Oregon, Vermont, and Washington—have adopted California emission standards in full or in part. Buyers in these states must confirm with their state's DMV or environmental authority whether an imported JDM engine is legally permitted for on-road use in their state before completing a purchase. JDM Florida does not guarantee compliance with CARB or any equivalent state standard.

Florida buyers: JDM Florida is headquartered and operates in Florida, where we comply with all applicable Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) and Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) requirements. Florida does not currently enforce California-level statewide emissions standards; however, buyers in Florida counties with active emissions testing programs should verify local requirements with their county authority before installation.

All other states: Buyers in all remaining states should consult their state's Department of Motor Vehicles, Department of Transportation, or applicable environmental agency to confirm whether their intended engine or transmission replacement is permissible under current state and local regulations. Engine replacements may also affect your vehicle's insurance coverage — we recommend consulting your vehicle insurer before proceeding with installation.

Federal import compliance: All products imported by JDM Florida comply with US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) requirements for the importation of used automotive parts. We source exclusively from legitimate licensed export channels in Japan. We do not sell stolen, fraudulently exported, or otherwise illegally obtained components.
