Shipping Policy

Last Updated: May 20, 2026

This Shipping Policy applies to all orders placed through jdmflorida.com and is issued by JDM TECH LLC, trading as JDM Florida. By placing an order on our website, you confirm that you have read and agree to the shipping terms described on this page.

JDM Florida specializes in used Japanese domestic market (JDM) engines, transmissions, RHD vehicles, front clips, interior and exterior parts, wheels, and related automotive accessories, all directly imported from Japan. Because our products are large, heavy automotive components, all shipments are handled exclusively via freight carrier on palletized skids. This policy explains every aspect of how your order is shipped, what it costs, what to expect at delivery, and what to do if something goes wrong.

If you have any questions about your shipment before or after placing an order, please contact us:

Phone: +1 (407) 774-8324 Email: jdmflorida@gmail.com Business Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST | Saturday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM EST | Sunday: Closed

1. Shipping Destination

JDM Florida ships to the continental United States only. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, or any international destination. All orders must have a valid delivery address within the 48 contiguous United States.

We do not offer local pickup at this time. All orders are fulfilled from our warehouse and dispatched via freight carrier regardless of proximity to our Orlando, Florida facility.

If your shipping address is outside the continental United States, your order will not be processed. Please contact us at jdmflorida@gmail.com before placing an order if you have questions about destination eligibility.

2. Shipping Carrier

All products sold by JDM Florida are shipped via licensed freight carriers. Because our products — including engines, transmissions, front clips, and RHD vehicles — are oversized, overweight items that exceed standard parcel carrier limits, they must be transported on pallets as freight-class shipments. We use reputable freight carriers operating within the continental United States, which may include carriers such as XPO Logistics, Old Dominion Freight Line, Estes Express Lines, R+L Carriers, and similar licensed freight operators. The specific carrier used for your order is selected based on your delivery destination, availability, and our best judgment for safe and timely transit.

We do not ship via standard parcel carriers such as UPS Ground, FedEx Ground, or USPS for engine or transmission orders. These carriers are not equipped to handle freight-class palletized shipments of this size and weight.

3. Order Processing Time

Order processing time is 1 to 2 business days. This is the time between when your order is placed and when it is prepared, packaged, palletized, and handed off to the freight carrier for dispatch.

Processing time does not include transit time. Processing occurs on business days only, which are Monday through Saturday. Sunday, and federal public holidays are not business days and are not counted in processing time calculations.

Order cutoff time: 1:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST, GMT-05:00). Orders placed before 1:00 PM EST on a business day begin processing that same day. Orders placed after 1:00 PM EST, or on a Saturday, Sunday, or federal holiday, will begin processing on the next business day.

For example, an order placed on a Monday at 11:00 AM EST will begin processing that same Monday and will typically be dispatched to the freight carrier within 1 to 2 business days, meaning dispatch would occur by Tuesday or Wednesday of that same week.

Processing may occasionally take longer than 2 business days if additional inventory verification is required, if payment authorization is delayed, or if we need to contact you to confirm order details. In such cases, we will notify you promptly by email or phone.

4. Estimated Delivery Time

Estimated delivery time after dispatch is 2 to 4 business days. Freight deliveries are made Monday through Friday only. Saturday and Sunday deliveries are not available through our freight carrier network.

Delivery timeframes are estimates based on the destination region and the carrier's standard transit schedule. They are not guaranteed delivery dates. The total estimated time from order placement to delivery is therefore 3 to 6 business days when processing time is combined with transit time.

Delivery estimates by region from our Orlando, Florida, warehouse are generally as follows:

Southeast (Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee): Typically 1 to 2 business days in transit after dispatch.

East Coast (Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, West Virginia, Kentucky, and Ohio): Typically 2 to 3 business days in transit after dispatch.

Midwest (Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas): Typically 2 to 4 business days in transit after dispatch.

South and Central (Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas): Typically 2 to 3 business days in transit after dispatch.

Mountain and Southwest (Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Nevada): Typically 3 to 4 business days in transit after dispatch.

Pacific Coast (California, Oregon, Washington): Typically 3 to 4 business days in transit after dispatch.

These are general estimates. Actual transit times may vary based on the carrier's current network load, weather conditions, freight terminal backlogs, and other factors outside our control. JDM Florida is not liable for freight carrier delays once a shipment has been handed off to the carrier.

5. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated based on the size, weight, and freight class of the item being shipped, as well as the delivery destination. Because JDM Florida ships large palletized automotive components, standard flat-rate shipping is not applicable to most products.

Engines and transmissions shipped on a standard freight pallet are charged a flat shipping rate of $225.00 per pallet. This rate covers one engine or one transmission per pallet shipment to any destination within the continental United States. If your order includes multiple pallets, the shipping cost is $225.00 per pallet.

For other products such as front clips, RHD vehicle components, exterior and interior parts, and wheels, shipping costs are calculated based on actual dimensions, weight, and freight class at checkout. The applicable shipping cost will be clearly displayed before you complete your purchase. You will not be charged any shipping amount that was not shown and agreed to at checkout.

Shipping costs are non-refundable once an order has been dispatched, except in cases where JDM Florida made an error in the shipment (wrong item shipped or item materially misrepresented in the listing) or where freight damage is attributable to inadequate packaging on our end. For full details on refund eligibility, please review our Return & Refund Policy.

6. Freight Delivery — What to Expect

Because our products are heavy freight items, delivery does not work the same way as standard parcel delivery. Please read the following carefully so you know exactly what to expect when your order arrives.

Freight carrier contact before delivery: Most freight carriers will contact you by phone before attempting a residential or business delivery to schedule a delivery appointment or confirm availability. Please ensure your contact phone number provided at checkout is accurate and that you or an authorized representative will be available to receive the shipment.

Curbside delivery: Standard freight delivery is curbside. This means the carrier will deliver the pallet to the curb or the nearest accessible point at your delivery address. The carrier is not responsible for moving the item into your garage, driveway, or property. You will need appropriate equipment or assistance to move the item from the delivery point to your desired location.

Lift gate service: If your delivery address does not have a loading dock or forklift, a lift gate on the delivery truck will be required to lower the pallet from the truck to ground level. Liftgate service may be available through the carrier. If you require liftgate delivery, please contact us at jdmflorida@gmail.com before your order is dispatched so we can confirm whether this can be arranged. Additional carrier fees for lift gate service, if applicable, are the responsibility of the customer.

Residential delivery: Freight deliveries to residential addresses may incur additional carrier surcharges compared to commercial or business addresses. These surcharges, where applicable, are factored into the shipping cost displayed at checkout. If you are unsure whether your address will be classified as residential by the freight carrier; please contact us before placing your order.

7. Delivery Inspection — Your Responsibility at the Time of Delivery

This is one of the most important sections of this policy. Please read it carefully before your delivery arrives.

When the freight carrier delivers your order, you or your authorized representative must physically inspect the outer packaging and the item itself before signing the carrier's proof of delivery (also called the bill of lading or delivery receipt).

If you notice any damage to the packaging, the pallet, or the item itself at the time of delivery, you must do one of the following before the driver leaves:

Note the damage clearly and specifically on the carrier's proof of delivery document. Write a description of the damage (for example, "pallet damaged, engine has impact marks on the block") and ensure the driver acknowledges it by noting it on their copy as well. Take photographs of the damage immediately.

Alternatively, you have the right to refuse the delivery entirely if the damage is significant enough that the item may not be usable. If you refuse a delivery on the basis of documented damage, contact us immediately at jdmflorida@gmail.com or call +1 (407) 774-8324 so we can initiate a freight claim on your behalf.

Signing the proof of delivery without noting damage constitutes acknowledgment that the item was received in acceptable condition. Claims for transit damage that were not noted on the delivery receipt at the time of delivery are significantly harder to process and may be denied by the freight carrier's claims department. JDM Florida cannot guarantee resolution of transit damage claims that were not documented at the point of delivery.

Do not allow a driver to rush you through the inspection process. You are entitled to inspect the delivery before signing. If the driver is uncooperative, note that on the delivery receipt and contact us immediately.

8. Tracking Your Order

Once your order has been processed and dispatched to the freight carrier, you will receive a shipment confirmation by email containing a tracking number and instructions for monitoring your shipment.

Freight tracking operates differently from parcel tracking. Updates may not appear as frequently as you would see with standard parcel carriers. If your tracking shows no movement for more than 3 business days after dispatch, please contact us at jdmflorida@gmail.com, and we will investigate with the carrier on your behalf.

If you have not received a shipment confirmation email within 3 business days of placing your order, please first check your spam or junk mail folder. If the email is not there, contact us directly and we will verify your order status and resend the tracking information.

9. Lost or Missing Shipments

If your tracking information shows that your shipment has not moved for an extended period, or if the carrier marks the shipment as delivered but you have not received it, please contact us at jdmflorida@gmail.com or call +1 (407) 774-8324 as soon as possible.

We will initiate a freight trace or investigation with the carrier on your behalf. Carrier investigations for lost freight typically take between 5 and 10 business days. JDM Florida cannot issue a refund or replacement during the investigation period while the carrier's trace is in progress.

If the carrier officially confirms the shipment is lost, we will work with you to determine the appropriate resolution, which may include a replacement shipment (subject to inventory availability) or a full refund of the item purchase price.

If the carrier's tracking confirms delivery to your address but you did not receive the item, you may be required to file a police report, particularly if the delivery was made to a location considered secure. JDM Florida is not responsible for items that are confirmed delivered to the correct address and are subsequently stolen or removed from the delivery location.

10. Damaged Shipments

If your item arrives damaged and you documented the damage on the proof of delivery at the time of receipt, contact us within 48 hours of delivery at jdmflorida@gmail.com. Include your order number, a written description of the damage, and clear photographs of the damaged item, the packaging, and any damage markings on the pallet or box.

We will review the documentation and, where appropriate, file a freight damage claim with the carrier. Depending on the outcome of the claim and the extent of the damage, resolution may involve a partial refund, a replacement component, or another mutually agreed remedy.

Important: We maintain detailed photographic records of every item before it is packaged and dispatched. This protects both you and us in the event of a dispute about the item's condition at the time of shipment.

Damage claims for items where damage was not noted on the proof of delivery at the time of receipt may not be accepted by the freight carrier and may limit the resolution options available to us. For this reason, we strongly urge every customer to conduct a thorough inspection before signing for delivery.

11. Incorrect Items Received

If you receive an item that does not match your order, contact us within 5 business days of delivery at jdmflorida@gmail.com. Include your order number, photographs of the item you received, and photographs of any labels, markings, or tags on the item.

We will review your claim against our shipping records and pre-dispatch photographs. If we confirm that an incorrect item was shipped due to our error, we will arrange for the correct item to be shipped to you and will cover the return freight cost for the incorrect item. Resolutions are subject to inventory availability.

12. Order Cancellation Before Shipment

You may cancel your order at no charge at any time before it has been dispatched to the freight carrier. To cancel, contact us immediately at jdmflorida@gmail.com or call +1 (407) 774-8324 during business hours. If your order has not yet been dispatched, we will cancel it and issue a full refund to your original payment method within 5 to 10 business days.

Once an order has been handed off to the freight carrier, it cannot be cancelled in transit. If you change your mind after dispatch, you must wait for the delivery, then initiate a return under our Return & Refund Policy. Return freight costs will be your responsibility in that scenario.

For full details on cancellations, please review our Cancellation Policy.

13. Return Shipments

If you need to return an item, all return shipments must be made via freight carrier on a palletized skid. Returns must be pre-approved with a valid Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number before any item is shipped back to us. Items returned without an RMA number will be refused at our warehouse.

In most standard return cases, the customer is responsible for the return freight cost. Return shipping costs are not covered by JDM Florida except in cases where we shipped the wrong item or where the item was materially misrepresented in the listing and we have confirmed the discrepancy.

For full details on how to initiate a return, return eligibility, and the complete return process, please review our Return & Refund Policy.

Return Address (approved RMA shipments only): JDM TECH LLC (JDM Florida) 2302 Mercator Drive, Unit 101 Orlando, Florida 32807 United States

14. Refused Deliveries

If you refuse a delivery without a valid documented reason (such as visible, documented freight damage), the shipment will be returned to our warehouse. The return freight cost incurred by JDM Florida will be deducted from any applicable refund. The item will be inspected upon return, and the outcome of any refund will follow our standard Return & Refund Policy.

Refusing a delivery because you changed your mind, ordered the wrong item, or no longer need the part is not considered a valid reason for a cost-free refusal. The return freight cost in those cases is the customer's responsibility.

15. Shipping Delays

JDM Florida is not liable for delays caused by the freight carrier, weather events, natural disasters, port disruptions, labor actions, road closures, freight terminal backlogs, or any other event beyond our reasonable control. Once your order has been dispatched and a tracking number issued, the carrier assumes responsibility for transit.

If a significant delay occurs, we encourage you to contact us at jdmflorida@gmail.com, and we will work with the carrier on your behalf to investigate and obtain an updated estimated delivery timeframe.

During peak seasons, holiday periods, and high-demand windows, processing times and transit times may be longer than typical estimates. We will communicate any known delays to customers proactively where possible.

16. Address Accuracy and Delivery Failures

It is your responsibility to provide a complete, accurate, and accessible delivery address at checkout. JDM Florida is not responsible for delivery failures, returned shipments, or additional freight charges arising from an incorrect or incomplete address you provided.

If a shipment is returned to us due to an incorrect address, we will contact you to arrange re-shipment. The cost of re-shipment will be charged at the applicable freight rate. If you choose not to receive the re-shipment, the order will be treated as a return and processed under our Return & Refund Policy, with return freight costs deducted from any applicable refund.

Freight carriers may not be able to deliver to P.O. boxes. Please provide a physical street address for all freight deliveries. If you are unsure whether your delivery address is suitable for freight, contact us before placing your order.

17. Business vs. Residential Delivery Addresses

Freight carriers typically distinguish between commercial (business) addresses and residential addresses. Deliveries to commercial addresses with a loading dock are generally straightforward. Deliveries to residential addresses may require additional handling, scheduled delivery windows, or liftgate service.

If your delivery address is a private residence, please be prepared to receive a freight-class pallet shipment. Ensure that the delivery area is accessible by a large freight truck. If your street or driveway cannot accommodate a standard freight truck, please contact us before placing your order so we can discuss available options.

18. State-Specific Shipping Considerations

JDM Florida ships to all 48 contiguous states. While our shipping process is consistent across the continental United States, there are certain state-specific considerations that customers should be aware of.

California: California has strict vehicle and parts emission regulations enforced by the California Air Resources Board (CARB). While JDM Florida ships to California, it is the customer's responsibility to ensure that any engine or transmission purchased complies with California's applicable emissions and registration requirements before installation. The California Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) and California DMV may have specific requirements for replacement engines in smog-tested vehicles. JDM Florida does not guarantee that any specific engine will pass California emissions testing. Customers in California are encouraged to verify compliance with a licensed California mechanic before purchasing.

Texas: Texas requires that replacement engines in certain vehicles comply with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) emissions standards. Customers in Texas should verify that the engine they are purchasing is appropriate for their vehicle's registration and inspection requirements.

New York: New York State has vehicle inspection requirements enforced by the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). Replacement engines in New York vehicles may be subject to inspection for emissions compliance. Customers in New York are advised to confirm compliance before purchasing.

Florida: As the state of our business operations, JDM Florida is fully compliant with all Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) regulations. Florida customers should be aware that Florida law requires proper vehicle registration and title documentation for RHD vehicles, which may have additional inspection requirements depending on the intended use.

All States: Regardless of the destination state, it is always the buyer's responsibility to ensure that the purchased item complies with all applicable state and local vehicle laws, emission regulations, and registration requirements. JDM Florida is not responsible for incompatibility with state inspection requirements or regulatory non-compliance resulting from the buyer's failure to verify these requirements before purchasing.

19. RHD Vehicles — Special Shipping Notes

Right-hand drive vehicles sold by JDM Florida are subject to additional shipping arrangements that differ from standard parts orders. RHD vehicles may require specialized transport, enclosed carrier options, or flatbed transport depending on the vehicle's condition and dimensions. Shipping costs for RHD vehicles are quoted separately and are not covered by the standard $225.00 per-pallet engine/transmission shipping rate.

If you are purchasing an RHD vehicle, contact us directly at jdmflorida@gmail.com or call +1 (407) 774-8324 to discuss shipping arrangements, estimated transit time, and cost before completing your order.

20. Freight Insurance

JDM Florida takes reasonable precautions in packaging and palletizing all shipments to minimize the risk of transit damage. All freight shipments are handled by licensed carriers with their own liability frameworks under federal freight regulations (49 U.S.C. § 14706, the Carmack Amendment), which governs carrier liability for loss or damage to freight in interstate commerce.

Under the Carmack Amendment, carriers are liable for the actual loss or damage to freight in their care, subject to limitations they may file under their tariff. It is the customer's responsibility to inspect the delivery and document any damage at the time of receipt to preserve your rights under this framework, as described in Section 7 of this policy.

If you wish to discuss additional freight insurance options for high-value orders, please contact us before your order is dispatched at jdmflorida@gmail.com.
